Poetry Writing - Tōku Tuakiri - Behind My Skin

WALT: identify who we are.
Identify who you are? -  I am a normal girl and I am cook island. True my veins my family is important and my friends. 12 years old and i am year 8. Soccer is the best sport in me.
What makes you proud to be who you are? My family and my best friend.I am proud of my culture because food and my sisters , brothers.
What decisions did your tupuna (ancestors) make to make you the person you are?
To make me good and to be shy to everyone. To help me who i am or who we are in our family.

Paint a picture of the past using your five senses:  e.g. hearing the beat of drums or the scraping the coconut with the hakalo (Tongan tool for coconut scraping).

Feeling the weight of the water as the paddle moves through it - as your ancestors make their way to a new land...
  • Look into your future - where will you be, and will your ancestors be happy you are there?  Because i have friends also they i can work by myself . Learn new things.
  • What do your ancestors mean to you as you move into your own pathway?
My Ancestors made me who i am today by caring and loving us for who we are and fighting for us no matter what.

Xtra Maths!

Hello and welcome to my blog.Today I am going to show you what I did in my maths for the morning block here in Tamaki Primary in our class room 9.Today I have finished off xtramaths on racing the teacher and I had got 34 smiles which means I got 34 in a row.My favourite part about this was learning more maths things to get more better in maths. What I did not like about this was having to take for long to answer since I was VS someone.
IALT:I am learning to learn my maths in addition to get more better then I am now.
